Spanish classes in Victoria, BC
with Marta Churchill, B.Ed
About Me

I have been teaching Spanish for over 30 years. I am a native Spanish speaker and I have my B.Ed. from Argentina, my country of origin. I taught Spanish at Camosun College for over 20 years. For more than 33 years, I have taught private Spanish lessons for both individual and small group classes, and I teach all levels, from beginner courses to advanced. In my classes, I strive to address each student's needs, whether in an individual or group setting.
I have travelled extensively over the years to various Spanish speaking countries and I am very aware of the different Spanish that is spoken around the world. I put an emphasis on teaching the Spanish you are most interested in and hope to help you learn the Spanish native to your specific destination.
When you learn a new language, you aren't just learning a set of words, you are being exposed to a new world with a different mentality, and a different way of expressing ideas. Many of my students have been travelers like myself, and have found that learning the language has made their trips easier and more interesting, as they are now able to interact with the local people.
